Action of the Week: Divest for Democracy
Divest yourself of any fund tracking the NASDAQ-100 or Russell indexes to avoid further empowering the world’s most selfish man, Elon Musk. In a few days, anyone invested in any of those index funds will be automatically invested in the SpaceX IPO (giving Musk more money and control). This public-market bailout of Musk (and the failing companies he folded into SpaceX) should be illegal, but Musk had the rules rewritten to his benefit. Celebrate Juneteenth
Join us on Friday, June 19th, starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Hyde Community Center to celebrate 161 years since the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans. This year, we reject division and instead embrace ‘Joyful Resistance!’ Hosted by DJ Firestarta, the celebration will feature live performances, Caribbean-flavor food trucks, the New England Patriots cheerleaders, and a screening of the Black Panther movie.

Elections Action Team
Thanks to the Elections Action Team for a great presentation, at our in-person meeting this past Sunday, about key races, major threats to free and fair elections, and opportunities for action. The large crowd of participants left the meeting wiser and inspired to take action.
There are several opportunities this month to phonebank for Indivisible-endorsed candidates in NY and CO. Check them out, along with lots of other ways to get involved in flipping the House and Senate as well as fighting for free and fair elections, on our web page.
Youth Outreach Action Team
Congratulations to Youth Outreach for their good work with the Brandeis Dems, including registering over 20 young people to vote!
Immigration Justice Volunteer Sought
The Immigration Justice Action Team (IJAT) of the Indivisible Massachusetts Coalition (IMC) is looking to organize an effort across the 4th US Congressional District (CD-4) on their Congressional Oversight for Burlington ICE campaign. The IJAT goal is to hold one target action per month across Massachusetts’ Indivisible groups within CD-4. Our representative should feel greater pressure to act when his constituents exercise their power together. Newton Bridge Brigade
Please join us every Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., at the Kendrick Street Bridge over I-95 in Needham. Volunteers are needed to host the bridge brigade on Thursday, June 25th. Email bridgebrigade@newton-indivisible.org for more information.
We suggest parking on Hunting Road on the Needham side of the bridge.
